Equipment
We bought this boat in 2013. It had been kept in dry storage for the couple of years previously. The guy we bought it off was an ex engineer and had cleaned and painted it internally. He had also refurbished and strengthened the trailer. We moored it for the first season on a fresh water lake, in 2014 in Pwllheli Marina and this year it is at Abersoch in the inner harbour.
All standing rigging is sound, the sails are serviceable, although there is some rust discolouration and a few nicks in places. We also had a sailmaker repair one of the sliders on the main sail.
Sails - main sail, large jib and storm jib. Main sail has sliders that slot into the mast, jibs are hank on. All ropes, blocks etc are included so she's "ready to go"!
Anchor - plough style anchor with chain and warp attached.
Trailer - this is a sturdy trailer and we have towed it several times from the Midlands to North Wales. It is unbraked though so you may want to check the weight of the boat and trailer to ensure it's legal! I replaced the bearings on it at the end of last season - it's currently in my garden on blocks, in Cheshire.
Outboard - 6hp Yamaha two stroke. Bought this last year for £600 from Bill Higham, it came having had a full service and overhaul. (www.http://billhigham.co.uk/). Has forward neutral and reverse. It's never given us any problems and has plenty of power. It can also be adapted to provide a 12V charge to the battery if required.
Remote tank included 11.5 Ltrs with hose and connectors etc - the remote tank sits in one of the lockers and the hose comes up through the transom top which works well.
Anti-fouled a few weeks ago so should be good for another year or two.
I have added a 12V system, this comprises of led lights in the cabin, navigation lights, a mast head light and a VHF radio. Radio aerial is mounted at the top of the mast. We added a ss pipe to run the wires through to the cabin. These are served by a teak switch panel that contains fuses and switches. In the panel is 12V socket for charging phones etc and a voltage meter. There's a big "Off/On" switch for the battery also.
Depth gauge/Echo sounder included 12V Hummingbird b/w mounted on the cabin roof, with a thru hull transducer.
There is also a mains inlet so you can "hook up" when in a marina, with 2 240V AC sockets RCD protected.
Last year I replaced the battery with a new 110AH battery and a new 30W solar panel - this is the flexible thin type that you can step on! Also comes with a charge regulator, which came to around £250. This arrangement means the battery is charged between trips - whenever we've been back to the boat it's fully charged. We use a 10" tablet with inbuilt gps as the main navigation aid - that's not included! In case you're interested I have a HND in electronics - so be assured all cables etc are suitably spec'd!
Plenty of fenders included 5 I think. A porta potty if you want it! Cushions for the main v-berth at the front and a couple of other cushions. Several mooring lines also included. There's also a fire extinguisher mounted by the companion way - not sure if it is in date or not.
In the cock pit there is a hard wood piece of decking I made to keep feet dry, as there is usually 1/2" of water sloshing around from the scuppers when sailing.
NOTES:
There's a mixture of photo's on here - from different times. So you may not see the solar panel on some of them. If you see a grey box on the front of the boat in a photo it's where we keep the anchor chain and anchor when cruising. There is a chain pipe which enables you to keep the warp below and feed it through.
The wires have been tidied since the photo's of the lights and switch box - also the switch box now has labels on it!
There is a sail cover and spray dodgers to go with the boat.
